# There's a Ukrainian autist developing a cheaper alternative to solar panels. Looks promising.

This guy is developing a system for generating electricity with mirrors. This technology is not new, but it is really expensive and complicated. He is trying to greatly simplify the process, and what he’s come up with is actually cheaper than other forms of power generation.

I think that this is the future. If you’ve read Charles Perrow, you’ll know that complex systems are fragile and prone to catastrophic accidents. So having a simpler energy source that doesn’t rely upon complex networks of production ensures that it is lindy.

This method could also be combined with a synthetic fuel process whereby air is converted into gasoline. I think we just need electricity to fuel it, so you could have a base mirror power with an air-to-gas extension.
