Pampering and deprivation of formative experiences?
That’s the only thing I can think of, this kid has to be insulated. How else do you get to that age growing up on a farm and are still scared of Roosters?
Also Roosters that attack Humans you usually have to Cull, especially ones in Coops like this. Maybe they have a breed with small spurs or whatever, but a Rooster that is aggressive like that is usually a sign of poor flock management.
It’s the opposite of pampering…my oh my you all have a ways to go.
I’m assuming you’re referring to the fact that the dad egged on the interaction. I would say that’s irresponsible, only because he should have already been able to handle something like this. But be that as it may, the kid is going to have to get used to stuff like that eventually. How else would you recommend the parents inculcate him at this point?
