I’m skeptical of this. My guess is that, as far as militaries go for Allied forces, France would have been worst, Britain middle, the USA best.
It’s not just about training or generals. It’s just about tech. USA’s military tech was already top-tier in WWI, and by WWII, was just far greater than others generally, especially when you take into account the overwhelming importance of air force by that time.
Yeah but Germany’s tech was way better than Russia’s and they got outnumbered.
by “best” they mean how effective they were all things considered. So if their tech was worse but they still got more kills, that means they were even better. I don’t know how you could have misread the first post of the thread where it clearly says “given equal men and materiel.”
what they were talking about is german training, character, and other things intrinsic or nearly intrinsic to them. It’s supposed to be a compliment.
