You can think of the brain like a vinyl record: you scratch a needle into the disc and it encodes the song. Ideas / memes / engrams are the grooves. Thought or consciousness (synonyms) are the playing of these grooves. Consciousness is a verb.
In Rational Science, we don’t do physics with particles. Our atom is woven out of threads. Light is the torsion of a rope that interconnects two atoms. Color is link length.

We also reject the Big Bang. You cannot imagine the beginning of the universe, so matter must have always been there.

‘always have been there’ is a very metaphysical claim, that requires a massive leap of faith ontologically.
The brain being a vinyl record is such a reduction of its complexity. It also doesn’t address the point of idea generation. consciousness generating thought - if they are synonyms then you are saying thought generates thought - circular argument.
I don’t really understand your point about teaching. My original video was explaining a point of view; so it has to be “taught.”

I’m saying that thought is a synonym of consciousness. Consciousness doesn’t create thought, it is thought. It’s a type of motion that is found in brains, but not rocks or inanimate objects.
Infinity means incessant counting. To say that “matter has always been there” just means that you can incessantly retrace the sequence of events. This is the only rational way to think about the “creation” of the universe. Both creationists and Big Bang atheists cannot tell you what happened in frame 1 of the movie; they always start on frame 2.
Ideas are arranged through a mechanical process involving the sensory organs of the body and the objects which are being sensed or observed. It’s simple, but so is everything when understood.
