The bizarre thing about this is that the woman in question is Latina. So the people stripping the title had no delusions that she was racist. They probably did not do it out of hate. They have no delusions that she is a hateful nazi of any kind or something. They just did it as a part of political warfare.
This is kind of a weird story.
I looked up her supposedly racist tweets with the n-word, and she never seems to have actually said nigger, she just said nigga.
A few years ago I went to a gym with a lot of non-white and non-black young people, and when they are talking with friends, they say nigga all of the time.
That’s what happens when black people are the arbiters of coolness for lower-class America, as they’ve been for at least 40 years.
So her tweets are not racist at all, they are normal, and even more, they are a sign of her deference to black people.
The real reason she lost her title is that she later came out supporting Trump (no doubt for a foolish reason).
The leader of the organization that ran the pageant left a poorly-constructed comment about this. He pretended to feel bad for her, since he says normal people do not receive so much scrutiny, as celebrities do. He then poo-pooed the importance of her title being stripped by saying that her life will be just fine and it’s not a big deal, she’ll still have a family and what not.
I’ve heard this response from IRL liberals. It’s kind of bizarre.
