Just wanted to share this Youtube Short.
Samuel L. Jackson really wanted to be in Star Wars, so when he heard they were making a new movie, he directly asked George Lucas if he could be in it. George literally created an all-new role for him, the role of Mace Windu, who was a lightsaber duelist barely beneath Yoda in dueling power and superior in some situations, after he already had drafted his ideas of what his prequels would be.
All of this, just because he appreciated Samuel L. Jackson that much.
I want this thread to show things like this. The world is full of proof that a black person without hatred and hostility, who dedicates themself to mastering some craft, will receive exactly the recognition they deserve.
In this vid, Jackson jokes about the whole “black people dying” in movies thing, but we can see that he doesn’t take it too seriously. He has, what one might call, a good attitude.
The era of “woke” was an era where black people claimed that they are not acknowledged even when they are good or great, that they must do exceptional things to get anywhere in life.
I would like to compile evidence - real world evidence - that this is simply not true of the “woke” era. During that era, black people were given a great amount of inclusion.
