They do things like stick ‘man’ and ‘lmao’ at the ends of their sentences when they’re trying to be smug while at the same time being hostile towards someone that set their NPC behavior to hostile, they pepper their sentences with emojis to be like ‘I’M NOT SALTY LAUHL, I’M LAFFING AT YOU!’ when they’re clearly menstruating from their hemorrhoids, act like they’re both witty and correct and totally not having a toddler tantrum, as if thinking it (and being a smug retard) makes it so. They phrase accusations (being an X-ist/Y-phobe or mis-W-ist) as well as generic explanations for the other’s behavior or points of condescension (like ‘I guess you must have been hurt as a child’ or 'you have a small dick because I disagree with you and because you have a small dick you are wrong and I am such a fucking brilliant zinger slinger for saying you have a small dick oh my fucking guawd) as if they were the most brilliant roasts.
Why are they like this? Is it evolutionary? Does the Redditfag race know it will eat itself to extinction so they develop traits antithetical to survival to cull themselves through sheer murderability?
Think a big contributing factor for this is that it’s the internet and you can say whatever you want with no physical or real world social consequences. I think these redditors are usually low status in the real world and so are used to being ignored or being the punching bag of more high functioning peers.
But the internet can reward you many brownie points if you just parrot the right opinions and no one knows anything about you or your physiognomy or anything that defines you as a person. This is how we end up with situations where most of the userbase in r/incels was actually South Asian BUT most people assumed it was white guys due to unchecked and unquestioned propaganda.
So this anonymity and easy access to dopamine they can’t get in the real world (status, approval, belonging, etc) and repressed anger all combines to create the perfect storm of one of the most insufferable personalities you can find.
Okay so why does that translate to a bad impression of the evil cheerleader from every highschool setting that has a female protagonist?
I’ve often found these types really enjoy movies like Mean Girls and Legally Blonde among other related media. It seems somewhere along the lines they adopted that speech pattern ironically and it ended up sticking.
It’s the highest status archetype that they feel looked down upon by in real life.
And this is what they try to emulate on the internet as this is the highest standard they can aspire towards.
