Why the right doesn't win.

Years ago, during the first Trump administration, I founded an online group with the intention of getting guys off the internet and doing real irl things, whether it’s meeting face to face or some kind of irl guerilla activity. I did this because most guys like us were just posting memes on 4chan or twitter and doing little of anything productive. This group was popular and lasted a couple of years, but accomplished absolutely nothing of value during that time and I have spent the years since thinking about why. The reason the group eventually dissolved is the same most online groups do, it slowly descended into drama and infighting. It’s membership consisted of a lot of young, frustrated, lonely guys with disagreeable political positions, who in failing to take out their anger on useful targets, instead redirected it on each other.

There is one story in particular that stands out to me as a prime example of why the right has struggled to accomplish anything. One day I excitedly proposed an idea to the group regarding how we can covertly spread propaganda to normies. Keep in mind that this was around 2018 when online censorship was a lot tighter than it is today, so disseminating information to the wider public was on a lot of our minds at the time. My idea was to buy cheap usb sticks on the internet in bulk, fill them with clips and news articles of minorities committing crimes, and drop them on the street randomly for unsuspecting passerbys to pick up. It was a simple, no-risk low-reward plan, just for the sake trying something and seeing if anything would come of it.

I got an immediate rection from one person, a guy who was several years older than me and always presented himself as a sort of a level-headed mature guy of the group. He began chastising me for suggesting something so dangerous that could get someone arrested, I felt his frustration got slightly emotional as he said something along the lines of “I don’t understand you sometimes, why would you even suggest something like that?” I was completely taken aback by this response and didn’t speak of my idea any further.

I did however follow through with my plan on my own. I bought roughly 20 usb sticks on ebay, filled them with clips, wiped the fingerprints and began leaving them around the streets of Toronto. the reaction to that was also surprisingly immediate. Just days later I spotted a thread on the r/toronto subreddit, and here it is: https://www.reddit.com/r/toronto/comments/9chpuh/found_a_ridiculous_usb_stick_on_the_ground_today/

Grok was very helpful in finding this one. As you can see, it got a few redditors pretty worked up, which to me is reward enough. Of course no legal trouble came out of this and why would there be any? In hindsight it’s laughable to think that the police in a major crime infested city have nothing better to do than track down random usb sticks. But I didn’t mention any of this the the group in question, I was so surprised by the reaction I got I didn’t want to bring up the subject any more. I didn’t purchase any more usb sticks either as I couldn’t find the motivation to do this sort of thing alone. As I said, the group never accomplished anything dissolved a short while later.

I have many other even more interesting stories from that group which all revolve around the same crabs-in-a-bucket mentality you will constantly find in these fringe political organizations, unfortunately they are too long and nuanced to be condensed into a single forum post.

Regardless, food for thought.

The reason why traditional forms of activism don’t work anymore is because of the inability to perfect our routines.

A perfected routine is a routine that comes from a lengthy process of trial and error. For example, compare your first trip to the grocery store to your 30th. On your first trip, you don’t know where anything is. By your 30th trip, you know someone at the register and you have all your coupons.

Perfected routines are the basis of community, culture, and mass movements. Like in order to have a REAL Ku Klux Klan, you need to develop highly sophisticated relationships with communities that take a long time to come together.

The problem with modernity is that our routines are always changing. So there isn’t enough time to create sophisticated relationships with one’s environment. When you do activism you’re always a fish out of water for the first time.

Like how can you create a spooky secret society when all of your members might move away in a few years? It’s really difficult.

Like in your example, you guys either didn’t have a strategy that everyone was comfortable with yet or team members that could stomach danger. That takes time to mature

Yeah, that was basically my attitude in regards to that group. I wanted to find something to do, however meaningless and insignificant just to try something. Maybe if a bunch of us spent a month leaving usb sticks around our neighborhoods, we would at the very least overcome our irrational fear of the legal system and have an idea of what kind of propaganda works and what doesn’t. In this case I was actually lucky to receive immediate feedback from my enemies, in hindsight this was incredibly valuable. That’s a foundation we could have built on top of.

Oh well.

As a result of activism not working, people turn to self-expression. Larping and subcultural games

See Dick Hebdige, Subculture

Yeah this is totally normal. Most activism doesn’t leave this stage

Also before anyone mentions; I am aware that world-star type violent videos might not be the best propaganda, and I was already rethinking the content I would put inside of future usb sticks, but this is precisely the sort of think a group of smart guys would research and improve on. At the time I was primarily looking to trigger a reaction and clearly I succeeded.

I think the reason most Right-Wing Strategies fail, and why yours probably failed it, related to something I think Johnny mentioned awhile back that I’ve been considering.
Almost all Right-Wing propoganda is inherently negative, and paints us in either a bad or ineffective light, and fails to create any Positive Propoganda that people might actually want to be associated with.

You spread videos of Whites getting beaten up, which though an inversion of the mainstream narrative that Whites are the ever deserving aggressors, also achieves the opposite in making our side look weak, passive, and empty, which is not our defining traits, but a consequence of the times we live in, so deprived of inner strength and self respect we allow lesser beings to trample upon us without protest.

More successful campaigns appeal to positive traits: Family, Heritage, Adventure, History, Bloodlines, qualities that are far from momentary and force the mind to confront generations of greatness rather than a few centuries of disgrace.

Take for example this Edit. This video inspired more emotion in me and others than all of the negative propaganda I had ever seen in my life.

So many White Nationalists focus on rhetoric that just reinforces the public perception of what we aspire to achieve. They focus on violence, on hate, or disgust, which are all righteous in their own time and place, but when they stand on their own they are fragile. Because what we want to achieve is not Hatred, but Heritage. Hatred is only a temporary vehicle towards this end, but without the goal in mind, you end up just driving around aimlessly.
But what really convinced me, in my despair and Nihilism, of the validity of these qualities, overcoming my Leftist Suicidal philosophy, was the intelligence and refinement that many supposed Nazis spoke with. It shattered my illusions of these inbred unintelligent racists, and showed me that there was something I missed, something no one ever told me about. That image was then able to contrast against all the unhealthy people I had hitherto surrounded myself with, the dysgenics, the disabled, the multi racial, the multi-colored histrionic hypersexual minds, riddled in so many diseases that they could hardly climb out of their cesspits without peeling back their own skin made of lies.
I tore away at the bile surrounding me, not because I hated it, but because I saw something better, some light through the haze which drew me in like a moth. Hatred was the name of my hands and nails, tearing away at what had become of me, but Compassion and Fidelity was the name of my eyes, ever fixed upon that prize of light.

If we want to rescue and inspire as many of our brothers and sisters as possible, we need to remind them of that light. We need to remind them of who they are, and who they could be, not merely the oppressive violence they are ever faced with in their day to day lives, but the true Love that comes only from Faith in their own kind, faith in themselves.

Showing the enemy doing bad things is important actually, that is basically the one thing that will awaken the vast majority of people. Do you expect me to put a video of a penguin on a usb and distribute that? What is that supposed to accomplish?

I sure love it when the reaction to someone actually doing something is just vapid moralizing and accusations of nihilism, it’s almost as if that is precisely what I was attempting to highlight in the OP.

The issue is, there is no genuine “red-pill” you can give someone. Not to say that action is meaningless. In fact, your example is pretty funny, at least I think so.

I would say it seems more self-gratifying, than effective, though.

You can’t swap someone’s worldview immediately. This is why I don’t understand protesters, vapid activists, etc. It does nothing. People, at best, will be annoyed. At worst, they will dig their feet into their own position.

Like the Reddit post discussing your USB. The reactions are confusion, indifference, or knee-jerking. There’s one guy agreeing with your point, but he already agreed beforehand, it seems.

There are two ways to accomplish a goal, I think. The first being concrete action. Not like dropping a usb with videos on it. Peaceful examples would be, say, donating thousands of dollars to a political candidate, suing an organization or company, etc.

As for genuinely changing positions, you have to dilute. If you try to swap someone’s worldview, it’s just the scene from Indiana jones, and they become a giant boulder of liberal nonsense rolling in your direction until you leave them alone. It has to be much more personal.

Touch a friend. Explain something to a family member. Help a stranger, and explain why you’re doing it.

It becomes a mind virus. Your talking point becomes their’s, in turn become their friend’s, on and on until indirectly you’ve influenced hundreds.

That’s how you win.

The left is winning because they do both. They capture media and infrastructure. They commit concrete actions. Their mind virus is a bit more forceful, it’s one of shame. Nothing is ever leftist enough, their position constantly atomizes it. The way it’s spread is similar, though. They tell a friend that they’re not woke enough, on and on until the new consensus of woke is changed completely.

I appreciate the reply, but this is once again just more completely empty advice. This is not actually how normal people form their world view, nobody is every going to agree with you just because you were polite to them. Everybody, and I mean literally everybody responds best to one specific thing; threats to their way of life.

Anecdotal, but that hasn’t been my experience. I could name maybe a dozen people whose mindset I have changed completely in that way. It’s how I came about it as well.

I also just don’t think that threatening people’s way of life is the root cause of change. It can be a method, or symptom, but not always the case. Think of daddy’s little republican daughter who goes off to Yale and comes back a DSA member. Her way of life literally would never have changed, even if the world around her did. Daddy had banked enough capital to keep her in her moderate bubble her entire life.

well, being apart from the law is a part from being politically transgressive

It’s as if you took my post personally and failed to apply any degree of constructive thought to the issue. I didn’t say what you were doing was wrong, in fact I described myself as one of the potential audience members of your campaign as a Nihilistic Leftist moron, which I was. My intention was to say that you should revise your strategy to include more positive messaging, then merely saying:
“Hey heres a bunch of minorities beating up White People, be angry about it.”

Of course people need to be made aware of the dangers of minorities, but how you go about doing that makes all the differences. If those videos were merely secondary to an otherwise positive core message, I think it would have produced a stronger reaction in people, and maybe forced them to consider their position to a greater degree.

I also didn’t reference the penguin video so you can literally put it on the USB, I was citing it as an example of positive media. The reason the Left is so effective is because it offers people a positive worldview, that makes them feel good things, even if that emotion is misplaced. “Come be equal! Indulge yourself! Be who you were meant to be!” All these notions gratify the desire for Life and higher living. Right Wing Notions are simply “Well they are doing X, therefor we shouldn’t do X and we should do Y.” It’s empty, it holds no emotional weight except in anger. It forces people to confront hateful dark realities without any redeeming quality, and again, that is not what we aim to achieve. We strive for positive things, but express them in negative terms, while the Left strives for Negative things, expressed in positive terms. This needs to change, but for so long as we’re constantly defining ourselves as a mere reaction to our opposition, we will always be a step behind.

As far as the problem with the Right goes, maybe the fact that they can’t take any degree of criticism without feeling personally attacked is why we can’t seem to organize effectively. You had, and still have, a prime opportunity to discuss our tactics and our rhetoric here. Likewise, if I’m wrong in some regard of my own approach, I would like to know why from other peoples perspectives, but we can’t even get to that stage of the conversation if you just shut down.

Do try and give me some effort here.

Sorry, but I’m not putting any weight on your claims about the minds you have supposedly changed.

You are just plainly wrong. Threats to people’s way of life are the root of all politics.

I am not looking to change the opinions of redditors. Surely this is not difficult to understand, the purpose of any propaganda campaign is to reach a fraction of open minded people. However paying attention to your enemy’s reactions is also very valuable because often times it is your enemies, and only your enemies who will tell you what works and what doesn’t.

Great, feel free to donate your money to your favorite candidates. Who’s stopping you?

I know this will be hard to believe, but you can do these things literally any time you want. Nobody on earth will get in your way of doing any of this, you can go outside at this very moment and do it, the world is your oyster!

What’s most interesting to me here is that you’ve by this point written an entire essay worth of text and have not yet provided a single useful example of what you’re talking about.

There is literally nothing in your post to think about, which I have already pointed out to you. All you have provided so far is a wall of text worth of empty moralism. What exactly do you mean by “positive message”? Am I supposed to distribute videos of sad penguins? What is that supposed to accomplish? Why don’t you come up with something specific instead of just vague, empty pieties?

Ok, then why did you reference it? What is the point of your post? How exactly do I apply this “positive media”? Are you aware of that fact that you can upload as many sad penguin videos and other such slop on to Youtube or Twitter as you want and absolutely nobody will stop you?

Not true at all.

You mean like every single thing you’re said so far in this thread? Just nothing but vapid, narcissistic, moral grandstanding “it’s just like positivity man, you just gotta like feel the vibes maaaan… don’t be negative, be positive!” What are you even talking about? Do you even know?

I don’t know if you’ve noticed this, but you can actually scroll up to the very top of this page and read the OP, in which I explained in detail precisely what my tactics were, exactly how I carried them out, why I carried them out the way I did, and a direct link to the results they provided. Did you read the OP LostSaxon? It’s right there at the top of the page, all of it. Did you read it? I am dead serious, did you actually read any of what I said at the beginning before you rushed to your keyboard to flood my thread will all of your pointless drivel?

Maybe the issue here is that you don’t actually have any criticism. Maybe the issue is that you saw an opportunity to be the most pious guy in the room and just couldn’t help yourself. You don’t really have anything to add to the conversation, you just wanted to grandstand and give yourself a big pat on the back for being so gosh darn positive. Great, now please let the adults talk.

This is just cringe, what am I supposed to get out of this?

In Mein Kampf (Stalag Translation), Hitler has an entire passage talking about the effectiveness of propoganda. During WWI, Germany painted their enemies as weak and Germans as strong, while the British among others centered their campaigns around fighting for “Freedom”. The British of course won, because their ideas held morale much higher than the German ones did. For the Germans, when they confronted the British, they found that they were not weak, they were a strong enemies, therefor their propaganda collapsed, while the notion of Freedom held the British propoganda campaign all the way through the war.

The point of the above mentioned is simply that, our propaganda has to keep up with reality, which means the more in line with reality it is the stronger it will be. If we target propoganda at Whites about how they need to be wary of Blacks, well sure, you’re confronting that reality, but you’re overlooking the other reality that many of these Whites went to school with Blacks or others. Maybe these otherwise well intentioned Whites have a non-white family member, or some other experience that would conflict with your messaging. You’ll then point down at this and say

Oh, well I’m not appealing to them anyway I’m appealing to a minority, so they’re already a lost cause.
And so right there you’ve already lost the war you set out to fight.

You’re asking me to come up with answer for you because your emotions are clouding your judgement, and making it hard for you to think. But I will give you some examples through the campaigns of others that have actually worked.

RTTL
RTTL is one of the only groups right now fighting for our legal right to freely associate. Does Aarvol or any of the other members Rhetoric focus exclusively on “Blacks are dangerous and we need to be violent and angry about it?” Obviously not, because that isn’t the core intention of his project, which is to build a home for Whites. When building a home for Whites, why would your rhetoric focus on Blacks when Blacks ideally won’t even be around? Instead he teaches Plato, they practice European Music, they discuss Heritage and History. He has his controversial moments but he doesn’t go around advertising them everywhere because it is politically a retarded strategy. You’re going to alienate more people than you attract. And as proof of this, RTTL is viewed rather Neutral in many of the comments sections of videos they are a part of, such as “Well I don’t agree with them, but I don’t see anything wrong with what they’re doing.” That right there is them winning ground in the public eye.
Now do you really think they could get away with what their doing if literally every other sentence of their rhetoric was fixated on hating minorities?

And so this is the root of your problem. When confronted, when you face push back, you don’t actually want to revise your strategy, you just start blaming people. You say “Oh well I’m not trying to convince redditors” and therefor you abandon the rescue of the countless thousands of Whites who think like this. You say “Oh, well you’re not offering me real criticism, you’re just saying empty words” and therefor you don’t have to consider anything about what I’m saying.
You want to think you’re smarter and better than everyone even though your campaign failed miserably, and had probably zero reception outside of the people like you saw on Reddit. I don’t know what you were expecting as a reply.

"Ya man, dropping USBs all over the city of White People getting their shit rocked is super cool and effective man, all those redditards don’t get it, so fuck the other 99% of the population who disagrees. You, and you alone are in the right, 100%!

Why does the Right not Win? It’s because of mentalities like yours.

At this point in my reading your reply, you’re just projecting and shouting adhoms because you refuse to think in positive terms. I understand you might be used to 4chan arguments where this is the norm, but I suggest you take a break for awhile and collect yourself.

The right does not win because:

“Man-hating feminazis are so heckin based so long as they also hate trannies saar”

“It is ok if Whites get replaced so long as the invaders wear MAGA hats and Crucifix necklaces saar”

“Ben Shoahpiro says that White leftists and faggots are the worst enemy saar”

“Women who get tattoos are sluts but men who defile their beautiful White skin forever with swastica tattoos are so heckin based saar”

“Capitalism, the same system that causes employers to prefer Haitians who just got off the boat over local Whites, is so heckin’ based saar”

“It is the West that controls Israel saar”

“Clottshot bad unless trump says otherwise saar”

Simply put: The right wing got infiltrated by browns and they banned all the Whites from the “”““movement””“”
