Basically a big, ugly chat room. Impossible to read and archive, attracts people who just want to socialize. And no, no one uses threads.

Used to be good until it was ruined by the algorithm. Back in the old days there used to be an organic intellectual space there. Nowadays, you’re lucky if your video doesn’t get taken down for hate speech or using a fucking song.
At some point, this website will have an entry fee. This will be $1/mo or $10/year or $20/life. I intend to keep it this price, only adjusting for inflation. Accounts created until then are (and will remain) free.
Btw, the name “Briar Fray” is quite literal: it refers to a “fray” of thorny bushes.
